NY Drivers are Terrible

I'll start with the disclaimer that I am a Massachusetts driver, or a "masshole" as we are fondly and proudly known as. Many would say that WE, in fact, are awful drivers. But I promise you, nothing compares to the idiocy and incompetence that I see on the roads on a daily basis in my (upstate) NY commute. Here, I will share those experiences with you.

Stop Signs Are Not Optional

Dear New York Driver:
Ya know those red octagon shaped signs at the end of most roads? The ones with the letters S-T-O-P on them? Yea, those are NOT optional.
Thanks for almost running into me earlier today. At least you gave me another thing to blog about

This is MY lane!

In coming off the highway this morning there were two lanes- one that would eventually go straight at the next set of lights and one that would turn right. I got in the left hand lane that would go straight. A small pick up was to my right, packed with people, and subsequently tried to move over INTO me. Upon realizing I was there, they sped up and cut me off to get into my lane. THEN the genius decided that he wanted to go right and veered back into the lane he original was in. As I approached the light and he went off to the right he beeped and flipped me off.

One of the best things about NY drivers is they don't even realize THEY are wrong!
